In vitro | MM cells were treated with increasing concentrations of 3α-Aminocholestane (3AC) for 48 hours. After cell lysis, proteins were separated by SDS-PAGE and probed with antibodies against SHIP1, SHIP2, and PTEN. The results indicate that treatment with3α-Aminocholestane (3AC)leads to proteasomal degradation of the SHIP1 protein[1]. |
In vivo | NOD/SCID/γcIL2R (NSG) mutant mice were inoculated with 1 × 10^7 MM cells (OPM2) via intraperitoneal injection. Six hours later, the mice received the first injection of 3α-Aminocholestane (3AC), followed by daily injections for the next 7 days, and subsequently, injections every two weeks for the following 15 weeks. The results indicate that treatment with 3α-Aminocholestane (3AC) inhibits the growth of MM cells in vivo.[1]. |
