Hemionitidaceae

Hemionitidaceae is a subfamily of Pteridaceae in the order Polypodiales. Hemionitis arifolia (Burm.) Moore. is an important medicinal plant belonging to the family Hemionitidaceae. In Asian folklore, Hemionitis arifolia is used to treat diabetes. The fern has been medically evaluated for its anti-diabetic properties and for intestinal worms.
